Meet BMo and Shiver, Brown鈥檚 Frisbee Powerhouses

It鈥檚 not unusual for Brown's varsity sports teams to draw attention from the wider student body from time to time. But one of Brown鈥檚 most successful programs is not a varsity team, and it鈥檚 one whose tremendous accomplishments tend to go unsung: club ultimate frisbee.

Softball takes series in 2-1 comeback against Columbia

The softball team (15-20, 7-8 Ivy) took on Columbia (14-20, 8-7 Ivy) this past weekend in a three-game series in Providence. After dropping the first game to the Lions, the Bears reversed the result, winning the next two and taking home their seventh win out of the last 10 games.

With their chance at a playoff run slipping away, the baseball team (8-24, 3-12 Ivy) got swept at home over the weekend by the first-place Columbia Lions (19-14, 12-3 Ivy) by finals of 15-4, 19-7 and 6-1. Baseball drops series at home against Princeton

The Brown baseball team (8-17, 3-6 Ivy) lost two out of three games against Princeton (9-16, 5-4 Ivy) at Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium over the weekend. The Bears now sit tied for sixth place in the conference standings as they approach the halfway mark in Ivy play.

Women鈥檚 softball defeats Harvard 2-0 on Sunday

Over the weekend, the women鈥檚 softball team (7-15, 2-4 Ivy) took on the Harvard Crimson (12-12, 3-5 Ivy) in a three-game series. After a disappointing doubleheader on Saturday, in which the Bears lost 3-0 and 5-3, the team rallied on Sunday, upsetting the Crimson 2-0.
